What it is and how it works
Clindamycin, a lincosamide, inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding the 50S ribosomal subunit and is active against anaerobes and Gardnerella vaginalis. Clotrimazole, an imidazole, inhibits fungal ergosterol synthesis, damaging the cell membrane of Candida species.
Indications
Mixed vaginal infections, including bacterial vaginosis with concomitant vulvovaginal candidiasis.
Dosage and administration (summary)
Intravaginally: one applicatorful at bedtime for 3–7 consecutive days, according to the product.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to clindamycin, lincomycin, clotrimazole or other imidazoles; history of antibiotic-associated (pseudomembranous) colitis or regional enteritis.
Warnings and precautions
Clindamycin absorbed systemically may rarely cause Clostridioides difficile-associated diarrhoea; discontinue if significant diarrhoea develops. Local irritation and vaginal candidiasis overgrowth may occur. Oil-based components may weaken latex condoms and diaphragms during and for a few days after treatment; avoid intercourse during treatment.
Pregnancy
Avoid in the first trimester; use later in pregnancy only if clearly needed, taking care with applicator insertion.

Store below 25 °C; do not freeze.
