What it is and how it works
Supplies a combination of water- and fat-soluble vitamins, often with minerals, in amounts above the recommended daily allowance to correct or prevent multiple vitamin deficiencies.
Indications
Prevention and treatment of mixed vitamin deficiency states, for example in malnutrition, malabsorption, convalescence, chronic illness or restricted diets.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component and pre-existing hypervitaminosis A or D; products containing iron are contraindicated in iron overload.
Warnings and precautions
Do not take with other vitamin A or D supplements without medical advice because of the risk of toxicity. Products containing vitamin K may interfere with warfarin therapy. Keep iron-containing products out of the reach of children.
Pregnancy
High-dose vitamin A preparations should be avoided in pregnancy; specific prenatal formulations are preferred.
Storage and supply
Store below 25 °C in a dry place, protected from light.
